Mick was born in Shakopee, MN on October 30, 1949. He grew up in Chaska where he attended Guardian Angels Catholic School. He started working at Mittelsted Dodge-Chrysler-Plymouth which he would later purchase and run as Chaska Auto Repair with his Wife, Punky for 30 years, the business continues to thrive as a third-generation family business. Mick and Punky were married on July 3, 1969 and together raised two children, Randy & Michelle. Mick had a large list of hobbies he enjoyed over the years which included boating, water skiing, golf, bowling, woodworking and pheasant hunting. He loved all things Mopar and Trains, but he really had a special place in his heart for flying small planes. He loved hugs, sweet treats and visits from his family. He accomplished many things over the years and will be greatly missed.

I remember getting motorcycle rides from Uncle Mickey. He would sit us in front of him on the gas tank and ride up and down first street. We had some awesome water fights when he came to visit. Enjoyed visiting you at your shop. Lots of memories. Love you Uncle Mickey. Rest in peace. I am sure Grandma & Grandpa Borka, my dad, and Michelle were there to meet you. Thoughts and Prayers to Aunt Darlene, Randy, Aunt Nancy & Uncle Arch, Aunt Joan, and Brittany & family, and Myra & family.

Our thoughts and prayers for the family of Mick Borka.
We got to know Mick from his affiliation with the Catholic Order of Foresters
and his involvement with community service projects.
Mick was a great guy to know.

I met Mick in the 1980’s when I looking for a good mechanic and my stepfather had one word: Borka. I got to know Mick pretty well and he joined our Wednesday night golf league and let me “fly” his plane a few times. He and Punky were a great combination.
Condolences from his golfing friends and thanks for keeping me on the road

I was shocked to see Mick’s obituary in the Chaska Herald. My deepest condolences to Punky and to extended Mick’s family. Mick provided services to our vehicles at Chaska Auto for years. I always remember his pleasant attitude and competence. I always felt that I could trust the recommendations and all of the work done. Honest and forthright, and trustworthy. Good memories of an honorable man. Punky, and family, may your memories be sweet and may you be consoled in the promise that you will enjoy one heck of a party together in heaven. Sincere blessings to you all.
