He was an alumni of Simley High class of 1973 and often boasted about his days on the boxing team. He was a lifelong carpenter specializing in drywall. His handiwork is in countless buildings throughout the Twin Cities. He was a devoted follower of Christ, and heavily involved with the church community. He enjoyed spending his time driving, tinkering with cars and motors, and watching Nascar racing. In the past couple of years, he discovered his creative side and love of coloring. He was proud of the work he created and every inch of his living room was covered with his framed and signed coloring pages. He was able to make friends with anyone he met, and touched many lives with his generosity.
Howard was preceded in death by his son, Troy Barron and parents Rolland "Rolly" and Ruth Barron. He will be missed by his children, Melissa (Daniel) and David; his grandson Liam; his siblings Ed, Steve, Colleen, and James; along with many nieces and nephews and many friends.
