Shirley Ann Kopet, age 81 of Shakopee, MN, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 11 am, with a time of gathering from 9-10:45 am, at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 119 West Eighth Avenue, Shakopee. Pastor Joy Bussert will preside. Shirley will be laid to rest at Valley Cemetery, in Shakopee.
A long-time resident of Shakopee, Shirley enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning of fruits and vegetables, listening to country music, and spending time with her family and friends.
Forever loved, Shirley will be missed by son Gerald Kopet; daughters, Darlene (Paul) Ryan, Kathy (Richard) Ginkel; grandchildren, Jessica Kopet, Jeffrey Kopet, Thomas (Adriana) Ryan, Kelly (Thomas) Gand, Kayla Ginkel, Derrick Ginkel; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Griffin, Matias; many nieces, nephews, special friend, Lulu and other loving relatives and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kopet; daughter-in-law, Joyce Kopet; parents, Fred Vavra and Anna Holey; and 8 siblings.
