Richard “Dick” E. Molgren, age 74, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 19, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded with love and support from his entire family and many friends.
A time of gathering will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 12 (noon) – 2:00 PM, with closing words at 1:45 PM, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee, MN. Coffee and cake will be served.
Richard Earl was born on August 10, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN, to George and Astrid (Lauman) Molgren. He married Donna Marie Schneppmueller on March 27, 1971, in Minneapolis. They were blessed with two sons, Tim, and Tony. As a couple, Dick and Donna enjoyed traveling, especially seeing their son, Tony in Texas.
Dick spent 30 years working for Red Owl/Super Valu, before he retired. In retirement, Dick was able to enjoy more time with family, especially his grandchildren Ethan and Emily. He also loved listening to music, model cars, 50’s car shows and recently putting puzzles of cars together.
Sadly missed, Dick will be remembered in the hearts of his wife of 50 years, Donna; son, Tim (Kristine) Molgren and their children, Ethan and Emily; son, Tony Molgren; sister, Marcia Molgren; brother, Donald (Sylvia) Molgren; sister-in-law, Doris Schneppmueller; a niece, many nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, George and Astrid; parents-in-law, Curtis and Lucille Schneppmueller and brother-in-law, Donald Schneppmueller.
