Nancy Lynn (Jandl) Weckman, aged 60, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Jordan, passed away at home on January 6, 2024.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Nancy’s honor on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 4-7 PM with closing words at 7PM, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 104 1st St W, Jordan, MN.
Nancy was born February 26,1963 in Shakopee, MN, to Charles and Frances (Loke) Jandl. She was raised in Jordan, MN, and was the oldest of six siblings. Nancy was married to Gary Weckman from 1980-2004 and together they had three children; Aaron, Dana, and Ryan.
Nancy spent most of her career within the healthcare field in the dietary department. She was able to do what she loved most; caring for and serving others in any way she could. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for many years before transitioning to Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, where she worked as a Dietary Manager until 2015.
Nancy was known for her big heart and warm smile. She was family to a few, but caretaker to many! Always putting the needs of others before her own. You would be pressed to leave Nancy’s presence without feeling cared for in some fashion. She loved her family fiercely. The bond she shared with her grandchildren was especially strong. Her loving, caring spirit will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Nancy is survived by her children, Aaron Weckman, Dana (William) Sams, Ryan (Esa) Weckman; grandchildren, Liam, Kylee, and Brielle Sams; siblings, Kimberly Ihle, Cinda (Daniel) Smith, Laura (Tyler) DeGree, and Colby (Lindsay) Jandl; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Frances Jandl; sister, Nicole Goldman; and niece, Adrienne Warren.

Dana and Will, I am so very sorry for your loss of your mother Nancy . She was a joy to work with at Kwik Trip in Belle Plaine. She was so sweet and kind and I know everyone else who had the pleasure to work with her felt the same way. Prayers to you all and if I can be of help, please let me know. Love, Amy (Sarah’s Mom)

The world is a little less brighter without Nancy in it. She was the most fiercely loving person in this world, her laugh was infectious, her hugs tight and warm and there was no way you ever left without hearing she wants to hang out soon. Nancy, you are already sorely missed and loved. To the family, we send our deepest sympathies and warmest love to you. Rest easy Nanner, this is not goodbye, it’s just a see you later.
