I’m a friend of Loretta’s from the Burnsville Y. I recognized her from the Antique Dealers Show at the state fairgrounds a few years ago. I approached her one day at the Y and we started talking, and talking as we walked around the track. I so enjoyed hearing about her antiques, the antique shows, travels, Bloomington theater. Oh and her dinner parties. It was obvious that she absolutely loved entertaining, along with John. When I hadn’t seen her for a while this spring, she told me about the cancer and she was to start chemo, but would be back to the Y, she hoped, in June. I’ve been waiting. Tonight, I was searching for her address to send a note. I am so sad. Please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences for the loss of such a wonderful light in your lives. She brightened mine every time I saw her.
