Dorothy R. Hartman
A resident of Eagan, formerly of Richfield and Park Rapids, Dorothy Ruth Hartman, entered eternal peace on Tuesday morning, June 10, 2014, at her home in Eagan, with her loving family present at her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, June 17 at 11 am, with visitation starting at 9:30 am, all at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 3535 72nd Street East, Inver Grove Heights, MN. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Dorothy’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be urn bearers, with Brian Glidden carrying her urn.
Born in Jamestown, North Dakota, on June 21, 1921, Dorothy was the daughter to Harry and Sadie (Colling) Olson. Meeting the love of her life, at a friend’s home in Minneapolis, Dorothy married Harold Hartman, on September 8, 1951, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Waconia, MN. They were blessed with four children, Patricia, Charles, Doug and Sara.
Left to honor Dorothy’s life and mourn the death is her husband of 62 years, Harry Hartman; children Pat (Jerry) Burke, Doug (Lynn) Hartman, Sara (Rick) Griep; grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Glidden, Eric (Naomi) Glidden, Jacob Hartman, Darcy Hartman, Emily Griep, Allison Griep, Amanda Griep; great-grandchildren, Mikaela and Eliana; sister, Helen Stone; sister-in-law, Virgil Olson; other relatives and wonderful friends.
Preceded in death and there to welcome Dorothy home in heaven is her son, Charles (Linda) Hartman; parents; sisters, Bernice (Richard) Helfenstein, Genevieve (Howard) Hunerberg; brother, Harry Olson; brother-in-law, Jim Stone.

I am sitting with Harry as I write this. We all thank you for your thoughts. Harry speaks of you often and of course misses all of you in Park Rapids. He is doing quite well after yesterday’s funeral. 95 years old and still has his great sense of humor.
