Todd Norton, age 59, of Lakeville, MN, passed unexpectedly, at his home on Monday, January 24, 2022. He was a loving husband to Kris and devoted dad to Jade, Madison, and Sabrina.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 12, starting at 6 pm, with brief words at 6:30 pm, followed by the Minnesota Wild game starting at 7 pm, all at the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club, 2920 220th Street East, Prior Lake, MN. Please wear jeans and Minnesota Wild apparel in honor of Todd. A private burial will take place at Spring Lake Cemetery, in Prior Lake.

Todd Randall was born on November 1, 1962, in St. Paul, MN, to Jack Wyman and Dorothy Mae (Herman) Norton. Growing up on the bluffs of Bloomington, MN, Todd began a lifelong passion for nature and the outdoors. He loved being surrounded by its beauty. Around his freshman year in high school, the Norton family moved to Greenberg, South Carolina. Education was always important to Todd, and he loved learning. After graduating from Wade Academy, Todd furthered his education at the University of South Carolina. An intelligent man, Todd had a double major in Business Administration and in Marketing, with a double minor in Sociology and Psychology.

Todd married Kristen Sue Antonsen, at a private ceremony on October 11, 1990, at St. John’s Island, South Carolina. They were blessed with three daughters, Jade, Madison, and Sabrina. These girls were his world! There wasn’t anything Todd wouldn’t do for them. He made sure they were all together for meals…every day! Todd made each holiday special for his wife and daughters. As a family, they enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, hiking, and cheering on the Minnesota Wild.

Todd loved walking the dogs, gardening, classic Chevy cars, and Mother Nature. He had a big heart and welcomed anyone that needed a place to be surrounded by family. Todd was mechanically inclined and could fix or build just about anything. His favorite line and motto in life, “Keep it simple, stupid!”

Condolence from Jennifer Stevens on January 27th, 2022 3:31 pm

My dear Todd, you were truly one of a kind and it is only now that you have left your body that I realize the depth of my fondness for you. You were larger than life, what you see is what you get, as real as anyone I know. You lived life completely on your own terms, fought for what you believed in and for what was right, whether at city council meetings or with the IRS! You were thoughtful and informed and engaging and so much fun!

I will cherish the years we had together camping with our families and the friendship that continued.
Most outrageous memory: Baker Boo halloween theme contest where you performed “let’s do the time warp again” dressed in fish net stockings and high heels as Dr. Frank N Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show, while my son sported JUST good Lemay shorts as Rocky (something a mother should never see). I believe your family won that year and rightfully so. So many wonderful memories….

You were a good friend I could count on Todd and I will miss you very much. You know that your friends will rally around and love and support Kris and the girls and the dogs (& now cat!), and I know you will continue to enjoy their lives from above. Looking forward to enjoying your energy again on the ethereal plane some day. “Teyata Gate Gata Paragate Para Samgate Bodhi Soha” (Gone, gone far beyond to the awakened state) Godspeed Todd. Love always, Jennifer
