Condolences for the family of “Terry Weimer”

Condolence from Don & Diane Koepp on April 14th, 2016 4:52 pm

We are friends of Renee’s. We got to know Terry through her. Terry & Renee seemed so happy together. We enjoyed playing cards and games with them. They were going to take the convertible to Henderson for the Roll In and we were going to join them. Our sympathy to Terry’s family. We will keep the family in our prayers.

Condolence from Holly Figg on April 14th, 2016 8:07 pm

Terry was a beloved Substitute Teacher. I have enjoyed working with him and seeing him as we taught together. It was fun catching up with him every time we were at the same school.
I am also a substitute teacher and know he will be missed so much not only by the staff but the students.

My prayers go out to your family.

Condolence from Barbara Kasper on April 15th, 2016 9:42 am

My memories of Terry go back many years . At the time he was a manager at the Super Value in Waseca Mn . He was my boss. He was a super friendly and caring boss and has always stayed in my memories because of his kindness to me at work one day ..I worked the evening shift so my husband picked up our kids from daycare on his way home from work…one day our lives changed for ever when my husband was driving our boys home he was hit by a drunk driver … And our 4 yr old son was killed…I was at work and Terry took the call from my frantic husband …Terry’s kind words and actions when he told me of the accident have stayed with me for years . Truly one of the nicest bosses I’ve ever had. I am deeply saddened and sorry to hear of his tragic death ..my heart and prayers go out to his family…he was one of a kind …

Condolence from Nancy Dvorak on April 15th, 2016 10:15 am

I posted this on Facebook but wasn’t sure if you would see it. Thought I would pass it along:
Terry was Roger & my old neighbor for over 10 years…
He would let the boys play baseball in his backyard every day in the summer till his lawn was nothing but dirt, Rog would say “Geez, Terry, I am so sorry I will replant your grass in the Fall” to which Terry would reply “Oh no, don’t worry about it, I think its wonderful that they play baseball in our backyards, soon they will grow up and not play backyard baseball any more, we’ll worry about my lawn then”
Even more amazing than that, is how all summer, if he was home, he would leave his patio door on his deck open so that our (and Terry’s) dog, Buster, could come and go as he pleased. I will never forget the first time we called for Buster and he stuck his head out of Terry’s back door, unbelievable, who does that? In the winter months Buster would just paw at his door till Terry opened it and let him in. Terry was so kind, the best kind of neighbor. The dog would just lay by his feet and watch tv with him until we would call for him. If a car would pull up in Terry’s driveway, Buster barked at them like it was his house. That guy fed our dog more treats than you can imagine, always a pocket full. Terry wasn’t able to say good-bye to Buster when he passed but he called about a month after and wondered if he could come and see him. I had to tell him that he had passed, I always felt bad that he didn’t get to say good-bye to him. He loved our dog as if he were his… I am sure Buster was right there to greet him when he arrived in Heaven…
Rog & I are so heartbroken that this beautiful couple could die in such an awful way. Our prayers go out to both families for their strength during this time…
If there is anything Rog or I can do or help in any way, please don’t hesitate to call. They were such a beautiful couple, there are no words to express our sadness for your loss.

Condolence from Ron & Cheryl Nagel on April 15th, 2016 2:27 pm

Condolence from Jeri Anderson on April 15th, 2016 2:38 pm

Prayers for Terry and Renee’s family and friends and may God give you peace and comfort during this tragedy. Terry and I dated a brief time in 1999-2000 and remained friends throughout the years. He’d help with handyman work at my house several years ago (I had trouble with a renter) and all I had to do was make him dinner and I took him to a Twins game!!! Nicest guy!!! My hear goes out to this couple and all that knew them. And Nancy, I did meet Buster – he was jealous – ha!

Terry loved to dance – I ran into he and Renee a few months ago and he had not been dancing for months as he had knees replaced – I will miss him and prayers to all!

Condolence from Pauline Beskar and Bill Beskar on April 15th, 2016 2:43 pm

We met Terry through our good friend, Renee Ahrens. They were such a happy couple. We were always glad to spend time with them. This year we visited them in Goodyear, AZ. And were looking forward to spending more fun times with them when they planned to return next year. Terry had a small bean bag game that we played together….luckily I was able to keep up with him. Terry was a wonderful friend and my husband and I will forever keep his memory in our hearts. In sympathy and love. Hugs and prayers are with his family.

Knew Terry casually through social meetup events for nearly 20 years. Met his fiancée, Renee, once or twice, while at his house where they hosted meetup events every year. This was shocking and sad. Sorry to hear of their passing.

Condolence from Loni And Kevin Yungerberg on April 16th, 2016 5:39 pm

Terry will be missed. Terry was Kevin’s boss and friend from the Randall SuperValu days in Waseca. Kevin would help him with the rental properties also. I met Terry in 1988 and fell instantly in love with the guy. We would meet up several times through the years and he always had a big smile to share. The las time we talked to him, he told us about the wonderful woman he had fallen in love with. Praying that the two of them find peace and comfort in heaven.

Condolence from Holly Hales on April 18th, 2016 3:18 pm

I spent many lunches with Terry when he would sub here at Shakopee High School. He was favorite sub both for teacher and for students. He was a wonderful listener–he heard with his heart and his head. The first thing people say about him, however, is that he was kind. How much more of a memorial can a man have than to be remembered as someone who spread kindness in a world so thirsty for it? We all will miss him.

Condolence from Dave Orlowsky on April 18th, 2016 6:18 pm

We could always count on Terry to step in at the last minute when we needed him. We would call, and within just a few minutes he would come to save the day! Terry and Renee will be missed by the students and adults of Shakopee Public Schools.

Condolence from Myrlene Schenck on April 18th, 2016 6:49 pm

My sincerest condolences to the families. Terry covered my classes many times throughout the years. When he was done with the work I planned for him to do, he went around the building to see if other teachers needed help with something. He was very kind to our staff and students at Pearson. This is very sad. They will both be missed.

Condolence from Anna Bonderson on April 18th, 2016 9:55 pm

Terry was a frequent sub at SHS – having a smile ready every time I saw him. We joked about “who are you today?” We will all miss Terry. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of these two wonderful people.
