Condolences for the family of “Steve A. Suman”

Condolence from Gerry & Joyce Suman & Family on June 30th, 2022 3:14 pm

We will miss the love and inspiration that you provided for all of us as a family. You will be remembered for that smile and chuckle that was always present when we talked. You made me achieve in those moments I thought were the hardest when I was challenged, but then I would remember your desire to succeed and those moments quickly turned into minor road blocks. Your faith and life will be remembered by us all, as you set
the bar for success high for all of us to live up to. There are so many memories that I carry deep in my heart and I know you would be proud to realize the influence you had on our lives. Our family is strong, but we will miss your examples of how to live a full and productive life.

Steve was a personal friend, and will remain one of our favorite neighbors after moving next door to him in 1992. Steve was also respected for his determined independence, never desiring to bother anyone unnecessarily with his limited needs. He is significantly appreciated for his obvious faith in our Lord & Savior which we share. Blessings and comfort to his family as they remember him at this time.

Dearest Cousins,

I have such fond memories of Steve during my many trips to Bemidji as I was growing up. Even as a kid, I remember his determination. Nothing seemed to stop him. I can still hear his laugh. Mom and I visited him several times during his various stays at Gillette Hospital. His face would light up when Aunt Mae would come in the room. I always thought of him as being so brave being in the hospital.

Sending love and prayers.
