Richard Glen Sanders Jr., of Prior Lake, died at the age of 37.
On September 29, 1982 in Edina, MN, Richard Glen Sanders Jr. was born to parents, Richard Sr. and Dorothy Sanders. Growing up in New Prague, Richie enjoyed spending time outdoors with his dad and friends. His love of nature carried throughout his life. When he wasn’t spending time outdoors, Richie was hard at work. For the past 20 years, he worked as a carpenter, completing many projects throughout the south metro.
While attending school in New Prague, Richie met his fellow classmate Elisha Fox. She was instantly drawn to his amazing eyes and sweet demeanor. They were married on July 23, 2005 in Bloomington, MN.
Richie was a loving husband and dad. He shared his passions with his three girls. They enjoyed countless hours mushroom hunting, fishing, and visiting South Dakota to hunt.
Richie is loved and missed by his wife, Elisha; daughters, Kaylie, Paige, and Morgan; parents; and sister, Breezy (Eric) Canzenbach.
Richie is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Richie you will be missed. I always enjoyed your company and the story’s of your nature adventures. Man you knew how to fish and you always cleaned them like a pro. I will miss you stopping by the lake place and asking your mom what do you have to eat. Rest well my friend.

Our family hearts are broken over loosing Richie. He was a good man and friend. There are no words that could express our thoughts and feelings on him being gone to soon.
Since the loss of you,

Knowing it may not always be this way.

To never give up on what is right
Because it can only make you strong.

I’ve learned how to hold the tears when I want to cry
Because all I have is memories
And just want to ask God why.
But mostly, since the loss of you,
I’ve learned a life can be taken in the blink of an eye
And only Heaven really knows when
That person will have to say “Goodbye.”

Like other have said, I am so sorry for your loss! Though I didn’t see Richie that often, I do remember each time I did speak with him fondly. He was a friendly guy. Stay strong!
I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out today. Rich performed a lot of jobs for me and would often bring his wife and daughters with him. He had a beautiful family and my heart breaks for them.
Thinking about you today. It’s tough to imagine what you were dealing with. I hope someday we meet again.
