Peggy MaryAnn Wulke, age 74, of New Prague, MN, passed away on March 17, 2024. A Celebration of Peggy’s Life will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM with closing words at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan.
Peggy was born on May 27, 1949, to Ernest and Gertrude (Moran) Joyner in Minneapolis, MN. She was the youngest of nine siblings. As a child Peggy spent time with her siblings and hanging out in the garage with her dad racing June bugs and watching him work on cars. Peggy graduated from Kennedy High School in Minneapolis and was blessed with her first daughter, Rhonda. She worked cleaning hotels and babysitting. Peggy enjoyed steak dinner with her dad every Monday, and loved her Mom’s bean and ham soup whenever she made it.
Later in life, Peggy met Doug. She was later blessed with her second daughter, Shahara. After some time, they decided to raise their family together and have been together ever since. Peggy has been blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.
As a family, Peggy loved grilling and being outside in the summer, tanning, spending time on the pontoon up North, and having dinner at Perkins! She loved going to burger night whenever she could. Peggy was strict with her family, but she loved them all dearly. She enjoyed cleaning, tidying, and doing laundry her own specific way. She was always concerned about her family, and always wanted the best for each one of them.
She will be dearly missed by her spouse, Doug Smith; children, Rhonda (Todd) Nordvik and Shahara Smith; grandchildren, Daniel Smith, Brittany Joyner, Colton and Cooper Metzen; great-grandchildren, Quint’n and Brays’n Joyner; siblings, Charmaine (Jerry) Moll, Delores Smerud, Gary (Janelle) Joyner, Larry (Rose) Joyner; and many other loving family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Gertrude Joyner; and siblings, Darlene, Raymond, Errol, and Roger Joyner.

This breaks my heart! Peggy was an amazing woman and always cared for her family! Growing up with Shahara, Peggy was always like a 2nd mom. She will forever be missed!!!!
