Nathan’s life story

Nathan W. Lindmeyer

On October 12, 1988 at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee, MN, Gary and Kathy Lindmeyer proudly announced the birth of their son, Nathan Wayne. The youngest of three boys, Nathan grew up in Jordan, MN, with his two brothers, Jay and Nick at his side. Attending St. John’s Catholic School for the elementary years, he went on to graduate from Jordan High School in 2007.

In the teenage years, Nathan loved to roller blade and performed tricks on his bike. As he got older, his adventures took to the motors, such as dirt bikes, ATV, snowmobiles or anything that would go fast. Nathan too spent countless hours working on car engines.

Where ever there are woods and water, Nathan was the happiest. As a family, they have precious memories camping at Fish Lake Campground and dropping a fishing line into the area lakes. Many hours were spent enjoying each other’s company at the beaches and hiking in the woods as well.

A talented chef, Nathan’s area of expertise was grilling steak, with specialty sauces. He loved cooking just about anything and had the appetite to go along with it. A love for dogs, Nathan had a special love for his dog, Spike. He also dappled in collecting baseball cards. The apple of his eye was his son, Charley. Together, they enjoyed going to the park, playing catch and riding the rides at Valleyfair.

A high energy and explosive personality, Nathan’s smile always lit up the room as he entered. He lived life to the fullest and was always ready to help anyone in need. A resident of Jordan, Nathan was 24 years young, when he passed away unexpectedly in an auto accident, the evening of Friday, December 7, 2012.

Deeply missed, Nathan will be forever loved by son, Charley; mother, Kathy Lindmeyer of Chanhassen; father, Gary (Enjoli) Lindmeyer of Jordan; brothers, Jay Lindmeyer of Savage; Nick (Brittney Goldberg) Lindmeyer of Jordan; grandmothers, Carol Lindmeyer of Clarissa, Mary Ann Friendshuh of Shakopee; special friend, Molly Menden of Prior Lake; other relatives and friends.

Nathan is preceded in death by grandfathers, Richard Lindmeyer and Claude Friendshuh; uncles, Mark Lindmeyer and Joe Friendshuh and godfather, Wayne Lindmeyer

Pall bearers will be Nick Lindmeyer, Jay Lindmeyer, Patrick Churchill, Tom Bulau, Troy Ware, and Val Malashenko.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, December 12 from 4-8 pm at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 104 West First Street, Jordan and one hour prior to the mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 13 at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 Broadway Street, Jordan. Father Timothy Yanta will preside.
