Mike was a wonderful man with a smile that lit up the office like no one else. His personality and integrity were such a gift to MHM. I wish my very deepest sympathy to Holly and family as I know how deeply Mike will be missed.

Mike was a big brother to me. We grew up in the same neighborhood and spent endless days running around, late nights hanging out. Our generation knew how to have fun all summer. Mikes bear hug and robust laugh will forever be with us. Prayers for you Holly and the girls. Until we meet again Mike…..God Bless. You touched us all!

My Prayers and Condolences to Mike’s Family. Mike and I ran together(along with his brothers) in our neighborhood growing up. I spent a lot of time at Mikes house with the whole family. Many times being sent home by Charlene to eat at my own house for a change. Homemade garbage pizza was Mike’s dad Bob’s specialty. We had the job of grating the cheese-lots of it! Many more great memories of Mike – you will be missed! Thoughts and prayers from the whole Maxwell family. Til we meet again my friend!

Growing up across the road from Mike and the Boys was always an adventure. If I remember right, he broke his leg on our sliding hill trying to speed down the hill dodging trees. Bob (his Dad) had special whistles for each of the boys and wherever they were, when the whistle blew, they went running home. I still tell stories of the Beerling Boys and how they all felt like Brothers to me and my 2 Sisters. Mike, you will be missed, to your family, you were a wonderful Son, Brother, Husband and Father. RIP and join your Father, for he’s whistling for you I’m sure.

I’ve spent the last twelve years working with and looking up to Mike (very literally – the wonderful grizzly bear was at least a foot taller than me). Despite being a mere handful of years my senior, he never stopped calling me “kiddo.” I will miss the heck out of him. Sending my love and sincere condolences to Holly and the girls.

Having planned the last four class reunions, we could always count on Mike to be there. We just had our 35th in late July and of course Mike was there with a huge smile and big hug for everyone. He never missed a reunion and genuinely liked everyone in his class. He was always so appreciative of our efforts and he even wanted to celebrate the big birthdays together in the “off” years. He will be forever missed by the entire Prior Lake High School Class of ’82!

Our hearts and prayers go out to Holly and his two daughters. He spoke of all of them so lovingly and I know that your hearts must be broken during this difficult time.

the Mike perspective, he always giggled!he told about going to a professional wrestling match and watching in front of him, the 300lbs. woman with the long greasy hair in her man beater T-shirt,large popcorn large pop. and big old biker boy friend(beard long hair and a bald spot) rise to every turn of events in the ring. boobs flopping, with pop and popcorn flying. sounded like a gallager show. His perspective helped me years latter enjoy a Vikings game with a kid doing a jackrabbit interpretive dance on the back of my seat. i was laughing wondering if i was on candid camera. it was the Mike perspective that made the day memorable. He will be missed,and talked about for a long long time.

My deepest condolences to Mike’s family. We shared lots of memories growing up in the same neighborhood. Mike was the friendliest person you would ever meet. Sure he had a mischievous side, we all did, but you knew you could always count on Mike. He was trustworthy, loyal, and forgiving. As Mark Maxwell mentioned, garbage deep dish pizza was ALWAYS on the menu for sleepovers at the Beerling home, and it was even better cold in the morning. You’ll be missed big guy.

I was so saddened and shocked by the news of Mikes death. As I am writing all I can think of is Mikes big warm smile. It brings warmth to my heart even now. What a gift he gave to all of us. Though I had not seen Mike in many years his smile still touches me in my imagination and I have no doubt that his smile continues to touch the hearts of many others. This no doubt is an eternal quality that Mike shared with all of us and will continue through time. My deepest condolences to Mikes family and close friends who will be grieving the loss of such a good man.

In the last couple of days I’ve been thinking about what fun Mike & Rob & I had growing up in our neighborhood. Sliding down the hill in front of my house, playing pool in our basement warming up in front of the fire in the Franklin stove. Playing Clue, Battleship or whatever other board game we got at Christmas. Then the long bike rides from our houses to DQ in PL. Trips to Wisc. Dells & Illinois with the Beerling Family. I’m the oldest of the Kaderlik girls & Mike was the oldest of the Beerling boys. Mike was in my wedding, Rob was in Nan’s. You are all in my thoughts.

There are no words that can express our heartfelt sympathy for the entire Beerling family. We so loved every opportunity to talk with Mike at the family reunions, and listen to his jokes and stories. We will never forget his infectious laugh and how excited he would get the closer to the punchline he got. Mike was a great cousin and we will deeply miss him. Holly our prayers are with you and the girls, we wish we could have been there.

Mike was a warm, funny, kind, honest, and realistic guy. He was one of the last real ” straight shooters” and told it like it was. He wasn’t afraid to admit fault, but also not afraid to “full court press”. Mike was a bear of a guy who always offered a hug and a big smile, and time in his day. I will miss Mike very, very much.

I just learned of Mike’s passing and am so sorry I missed his Celebration of Life services. I remember your wedding, Holly and it showed how in love you were – and later, how much you both loved your daughters.

I am so sorry for your loss.
