Maryann Tremain, age 63 of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2016. A visitation at St. Michael Catholic Church will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10-11AM with a memorial mass to follow at 11AM, 16311 Duluth Ave SE, Prior Lake.
Maryann was born December 31, 1952 to Frank and Josephine Maiewski. She grew up on Long Island New York and it was there that she met the love of her life, Gary. They were united in marriage on October 28, 1972 and began their life together. They raised their sons on Long Island before Gary’s career relocated them to Eden Prairie, MN and then on to San Diego where they continued their life’s adventure. After Gary’s passing in 2011, she returned to Minnesota to be closer to her family.
Maryann will be remembered for her love of entertaining and her willingness to open her home to family and friends. The fondest memories were often created after spending hours around the dinner table where you could always expect plenty of delicious food, great stories, and excellent wine. She was proud of her meticulously kept home and enjoyed the companionship of her dogs, Jake and Jazz. Maryann will be deeply missed by her sons, Matthew (Kimberly) Tremain of Prior Lake, MN, Adam (Bree) Tremain of Bloomington, MN; grandchildren, Raina, Ava, and Alex Tremain of Prior Lake, MN; twin sister, Liz Terranova of Coram, NY; brother, Frank Maiewski of Holtsville, NY; sister Loretta Ambrosio of Holbrook, NY; sister-in-law, Janet Davi of Queens, NY and many nieces and nephews, as well as other loving family and friends. Maryann was preceded in death by husband, Gary; parents, Frank and Josephine Maiewski; brother, Steve Maiewski; and brother-in-law, Joe Terranova.

Print Obituary & CondolencesSending sympathy to you and your family, Kim.
Prayers and loving thoughts for your family from your Alabama friends. ( Really Auburn)
Matt, Kim and all the family may all the memories you have made with you mom be comfort to you. She is with the love of her life now. God Bless you all
I found the news only today, over a year since her passing, and was completely taken by shock at this news. Mary, Lynne O’Halloran and myself were friends since the vanMaarens moved to the Lolly Lane neighborhood many, many, many years ago. We met in elementary school, and continued to stay in touch through the years. I am just so upset at this news. To her boys, Matt and Adam, I am so so sorry for your loss. Lynne and I have so many fond memories of your mom, which we will treasure forever. I will get on the phone right now to let Lynne know about Mary’s passing. God bless all of you.
