Sad to hear of Aunt Martha’s passing. She was a commanding and loving presence. We always had fun visiting the Busses whenever our family came to Jordan. Martha was always deeply interested in our lives. Her laughter is deeply etched in my childhood memories.

When I close my eyes and see Martha – I see an incredible soul. My first memory of her was asking to come play with my cousins. She was in-charge and made sure you knew it – even though she has smiling eyes. I very much enjoyed being with her and seeing her smile. WOW 89 wonderful years. She left incredible footprints on her journey through life. I will always love my aunt Martha.

Our prayers go out to Martha’s family for peace knowing she is with her family in heaven. In looking back to when our family visited Grandma & Grandpa Boeckman in Jordon, Martha had a talent of making us feel welcome every time. As kids, after feeling at ease, we’d be outside playing with her kids and going on adventures. Many great memories! We are praying for our cousins and their families to find comfort and peace and know she lives in our hearts.

Aunt Martha was a drawing attraction whenever we came to Jordan. She raised awesome cousins who all were “the best” to play with. I loved the smell of Chocolate Chip Cookies and the chatter of Grandma, Aunt Lizzy and Martha in the kitchen. I especially am grateful to Martha helping me go “professional dress shopping “ when I started teaching at the University. She had a great eye for fashion! I loved her stories of childhood and she always had a positive twist to every story. Martha, you left a strong loving legacy. You are missed.

Oh so many wonderful memories of our family visits to Jordan, MN.. Now so any family members of our parents generations have gone before us. They now are waiting for us to join them in eternal happiness. Jack’s haircuts and oh the stories he could tell a group of kids. Martha’s love you could feel as she entered the room. Grandpa and Grandma’s farm oh man the fun we could have exploring untold mysteries – freedom – Oh how we miss the love that could fill us to overflowing. Now it is our duty to do the same for our families. Our love to be shared with our very lovable Buss family. We also share your emptiness. No words can fill………. what it is now empty.

I just learned from my daughter, JoAnne, that Martha had passed away. My sympathy to all of you. It’s hard to believe that all of the Gerhard Boeckman family from Jordan is now gone. I believe my husband, Tony, was the first to pass away. That was in l971 …. a long time ago.
