Mary Linda Urias-Ulibarri, age 69, of Prior Lake, MN, peacefully passed away in her sleep at home on November 28th.
A Time of Gathering will be held at Ballard Sunder Funeral Home (4564 Pleasant Street, Prior Lake) on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 1:00-3:00PM with closing words at 3:00PM.
Linda was born on April 25th 1953 in Los Angeles, where later in life she met the love of her life, John Ulibarri and married him in San Pedro, CA in 1989. They traveled together a lot in a semi-truck and attended church every week. Linda and John had the perfect marriage, the only thing that was missing was a family. They ended up fostering and adopting seven children; Mikey, Devon, Brittany, Rianna, Aaron, Tito and Selena. Even though she was unable to have children of her own, this did not stop her from spreading her love.
Family and life were complete. Her lifelong career was being a fulltime wife and a mother to all of her children. Linda loved animals, especially her cat pretty little girl. She loved to listen to her oldies, dance, do her makeup, hair and nails. Linda loved and enjoyed date nights with John even if it was just in the backyard. Linda had a very young soul. Linda attended church at New Spirit United Church of Christ in Savage, MN. Her passion was telling people the word of God and serving the Lord. She loved her mother, Marilyn Mc Culloch; father, Daniel Urias; brothers, Nick Vanderpas, James and David; sisters, Delia and Angel; five grandchildren; also, many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Linda was not afraid of death, her final wishes were that we do not mourn her passing but rather, we celebrate her life. Smile now and cry later.
