Lorraine Ruppert Siebenaler Gutzke
A life-time resident of the Prior Lake area, Lorraine Marie Gutzke, entered the eternal arms of God’s care on July 18, 2014, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home, in Shakopee, MN. The Funeral Service will be on , Monday, July 21 at 11:30 am, with visitation one hour prior, all at the Church of St. Michael, 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Lorraine will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, in Minneapolis, MN.
On April 26, 1922, in Shakopee, MN, Lorraine Marie was born to Lawrence and Cecelia (Fitzpatrick) Ruppert. She was raised at the family home at Spring Lake. Her parents know as Lornie and Nammie never knew a stranger, and their home was a gathering place for everyone. Good food and laughter could be heard for miles.
Graduating from Jordan High School, Lorraine spent most of her career working for Dayton’s as a waitress. In 1941, Lorraine married Albert “Buddie” Siebenaler. They had one daughter, Terry and in later years, to include grandchildren Michelle and Kevin. They divorced and Lorraine married Gerald Gutzke. Gerry preceded her in death in 1993.
Lorraine and Gerry lived in Prior Lake and were an active member of the Church of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Prior Lake V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary. Lorraine has spent her last months at Friendship Manor Nursing Home, in Shakopee. The family thanks them and hospice for their kindness and care of Lorraine.
Lorraine is survived by daughter, Terry (George) Kabes of Lakeville; grandchildren, Michelle (Mark) Lawson, Kevin (Lisa) Caduff; great grandchildren, Macy Wilkins, Joseph Caduff; goddaughter, Mary Jo (Tom) Pasek of Bakersfield, CA; neighbor and caregivers since 1993, Lyle and Alice Anderson; other relatives and friends.
Lorraine was welcomed home in heaven by husband, Gerry.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Lorraine. I got to know her as a client while grooming Timmy. How she loved that little dog. I will miss her. She was such an inspiration to me.
