Lawrence John Wild was born on June 25, 1925 in Credit River, MN to parents George and Anna (Kill) Wild.

Most of Lawrence’s career was spent working at the Cargill grain elevator plant where he was employed for over 36 years. Lawrence married Antoinette “Fritzi” Theis on October 22, 1955 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Prior Lake. They were blessed with a daughter, Mary.

Lawrence served in the United States Army Infantry during World War II. Lawrence was a member of the Prior Lake VFW. Lawrence was a head usher for the Church of St. Michael and also a first degree member of the Prior Lake/Savage Knights of Columbus.

At the age of 86, Lawrence J. Wild passed away peacefully in the presence of his daughter, Mary on the afternoon hours of Wednesday, April 3, 2012.

Forever loved, Lawrence will be deeply missed by his daughter, Mary (Tom) Weisse and his grandchildren, Bennett and Connor.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife, Antoinette “Fritzi” Wild; parents, George and Anna (Kill) Wild and brother, Raymond (Lorraine) Wild.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 7, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Michael in Prior Lake. Father Tom Sieg will officiate. Lawrence will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Prior Lake with full military honors provided by the Prior Lake VFW Post Volunteer Rifle Squad.
