Mielke, Ken, age 78 of Prior Lake, formerly of Hutchinson, passed away Tues., May 20. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30AM on Wed., June 22 with visitation 1-hour prior at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 Shepherds Path NW, Prior Lake. Ken is survived by his wife, Ellie; children, Deb (Mike) Kessler, John (Karen) Mielke, Paul Mielke; grandchildren, Drew, P.J., Olivia, Katie, Nick, Ben; brother, Richard (Carol) Mielke; sister, Donelle (Bob) Brown; faithful friend, Sophie; many loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Ellen. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to be distributed by Ken’s family in his memory.

Kenny was a special friend from the 8th grade and started with our love of sports with stick ball in front of his Grandma’s garage. His patience helped me to practice with the drag bunt and we continued our friendship with baseball. He was a good and true friend and will be sorely missed but not forgotten.
I am saddened that we didn’t get together in our later years. Please accept my sincere condolences.
