Wenner, John Elmer passed away on November 25, 2021 at the age 67 years old due to underlying complications of Covid 19.

His celebration of Life Service will be Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a gathering from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan, MN.

John was born to John and Deloris (Decker) Wenner on May 12 1954 in St. Paul, MN. Being an older brother to Joe, Jimmy and Jeanette, he always played the role as the protector of his siblings. As the family grew up in South St. Paul, Dad and the boys liked to do their fishing and hunting trips which was a highlight of each season.

John was one who enjoyed camping and even took his fishing skills to another level and ventured to Alaska. His love for family and friends, specifically his nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews were a highlight for him, always enjoying a BBQ and cookout together.

He had a special knack for socializing, which was a perfect fit for his long career of working at convenience stores, behind the counter mingling with guests, most recently at the Holiday gas station in Jordan.

John is survived by daughter, Jennifer; sister, Jeanette Schnoor; brother, Joe (Linda) Wenner and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents, John and Deloris Wenner; brother, Jimmy Wenner.

John was more than a brother to me. He rode with me when I moved from Minnesota to Arizona. He loved his dog, Max. He wanted to go back to live in Alaska. John always found time to help anybody and I never failed to have his help. He and I made lots of good memories and he will be missed.

I have allways liked John as my brother-in-law. Eventhough I did not allways show it. The last year our so that he has lived in the same town as me we have gotten closer. I respect and love john, I am glad he has been in my live. He can raise hell in heaven with my husband russ.

I wish someone would have notified my family and I when my uncle had passed away he ment the world to my sister’s and I uncle John u will be greatly missed love u to the moon and back Katie Krystal Cassie Starr
