John Resop age 61 of Prior Lake.

On August 17, 1950 in Minneapolis, MN, John Charles was born to F. James and Margaret Louise (Cady) Resop.

For 61 years, John was a blessing to the Resop family. John passed away peacefully on the early morning hours of November 24, 2011 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN.

Forever loved, John will be deeply missed by his siblings, Jim (Jan) Resop of New Market, Sandra (Mike) Dallett of Tallahassee, FL, Cynthia (Eric) Gardener of Kansas City, MO, Mary O’Neil of Oak Harbor, WA, Joe Resop of Oak Harbor, WA: nieces and nephews, Jaime, Brooke, Mike, Ryan, Mark, Michael, Taylor, Casie, Clinton, Alyson and Colin; many other loving relatives and devoted friends. John is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, John O’Neil.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, December 1 at 11 a.m., with visitation starting at 9:30 a.m., all at the Church of St. Michael 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Sieg will officiate. John will be laid to rest at a private family service at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Prior Lake, MN. John’s urn bearers will be his nieces and nephews.
