On April 12, 1946, Jeanette was born to parents Walter and Margaret Feige in Glencoe, MN. Shortly after her birth, she was brought back to the family farm in Winthrop, MN. She was greeted by her 4 older siblings; Eugene, Donnie, Richard, and Marlene. Jeanette wasn’t the last of the children, however. Edward would soon join the family. Jeanette worked on the family farm helping with the garden and helping to make the meals. When she wasn’t on the farm, she attended and graduated from Winthrop High School.

Following her graduation from high school, Jeanette moved to Blaine, MN and began her career in the food distribution industry. She started working at Totino’s pizza, where she helped with their accounting. She worked for Pillsbury in a similar role after they bought Totino’s Pizza. She ended her career working at Simply Potato, which when she started, was called Northern Star. Here, she was a sales representative. During her time in Blaine, she not only started her career, but she also started her family.

Jeanette was blessed with two wonderful daughters; Deb and Kristina. Jeanette did everything that she could for her two girls. In June of 1992, Jeanette married Rick Weidner, adding one more member to Jeanette’s family. Every summer, the family would take a trip to their favorite vacation spot, Grand Marais, MN. The little town sat right on Lake Superior. Jeanette and the family took full advantage of the great outdoor space around them. They enjoyed hiking the trails and enjoying quality time together. In all their years, they never missed a trip up to Grand Marais. And once Jeanette had grandkids, the trips got even better. Spoiling her grandkids was easy for Jeanette. For each of their birthdays, she would first call them and sing happy birthday to them, and then take them to their favorite restaurant for a good meal. And her giving didn’t stop there. Christmas was Jeanette’s favorite holiday, and she went all out for her family. The pile of presents seemed to grow each year. And in each person’s presents, you can bet that some money was hidden in some creative spot.

In her later years, Jeanette and Rick enjoyed taking their RV across the country. They made it to 45 of the 49 states that make up the Continental United States (they even made it to Alaska). But that isn’t the only thing Jeanette did to keep busy. She also found the time to volunteer for both St. Michael’s Catholic Church and St. Francis Hospital. When Jeanette needed to unwind a bit from all of her work, she could be found in her garden taking care of her beautiful hostas. Jeanette also loved to invite friends and family over to play cards and drink some wine. Cribbage was a favorite of hers.

Loving, strong willed, and caring, Jeanette will be missed greatly by her Children, Deb (Pat) LeHew and Kristina Michealson-Mester; Grandchildren, Brice LeHew, Nikole Michealson-Mester, Travis LeHew (Colleen Jender), and Jacob Michealson-Mester (Chyna Bliayang); Siblings, Eugene (Kathy) Feige, Donnie (Sherry) Feige, Marlene (Chuck) Roepke, and Edward (Margie) Feige; Sister-in-Law, Mona Feige; and Stepson, Randy Weidner. Jeanette is greeted in heaven by her Husband, Rick Weidner; Parents, Walter and Margaret Feige; and her Brother, Richard Feige.

Condolence from Patricia Sislo on February 1st, 2022 3:41 pm

I graduated from Winthrop High School with Jeanette. Several years ago a group of us decided to get together. The first time we met at a restaurant at the Mall of America. We were there for several hours finding out what we all had done for all those years we were apart. Several years ago Jeanette invited us to hold our annual get together at her house. We continued meeting there. Jeanette was the perfect hostess and we all loved meeting there. I couldn’t attend last year and now I feel sad that I missed it. I will miss her. I’m sure God is happy to see her and enjoying her immensely. My prayers are for all of you. Pat Sislo
