Helen Marie Burgoyne née Howat, age 94 of Prior Lake, MN, formerly of Fremont, NE, passed away peacefully Sun., June 10, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wed., June 13, 2018 at 10AM with a visitation 1-hour prior at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16311 Duluth Ave. SE., Prior Lake. She will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Helen was born October 7, 1923 to parents Mansuet and Anna (Hann) Howat. She was one of four children to be raised in St. Paul, MN. The most meaningful chapter of Helen’s life began September 16, 1944 when she exchanged wedding vows with John E. Burgoyne. Their union was blessed with 60 years of marriage and a family she cherished.
She will be missed by her children, John E. Burgoyne. Jr., Tom (Karna) Burgoyne, Denny (Joan) Burgoyne; grandchildren, Lisa (Troy) Kron, John E. (Marci) Burgoyne III, Joseph (Heidi) Burgoyne, Thomas Burgoyne Jr., Heather (Bob) Jensen, Sara (Jon) Pherson, Eric (Kelly) Wohleb, Tina Burgoyne; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gina Burgoyne; many loving nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Eugene Burgoyne Sr.; brothers, Edward (Ann) Howat, Albert (Bea) Howat, George (Eleanor) Howat and her parents.

I am so sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. I knew Helen from working at All Saints. And, to know Helen was to love Helen! I am very happy that I was able to visit Helen last Tuesday. She smiled and conversed with Cindy(Mabel Huth’s daughter and I. I will miss her beautiful smile when visiting residents at All Saints.
