Dr. Edward W. Reese, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 11, 2022.

Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 21, 1943 to the late Edward E. and Mildred Reese (nee Morrison).

He later served in the United States Army from 1961-1964 as an engineer. Shortly after his stint in the Army, he married his first wife, Susan Strom. With Susan, he fathered two sons, Bill (Julia Barnett) and Dan.

After his divorce from Susan, he met and married the love of his life Susan Good, who he affectionately called Beth. Beth had two daughters that she brought into the family, Kara Good and Katina (Matt) Broback. This new family went on many vacations and spent a lot of time together.

Professionally, Ed began his career working at MedTronic as a medical engineer. Ed was obsessed with the desire to learn more. His academic achievements included a Doctorate in medical technologies, Board Certified Forensic Examiner, Board Certified Medicine, and Certified Medical Examiner. Ed also has two registered patents relating to the medical device field.

These educational tools, along with a strong entrepreneurial spirit were used as a catalyst for Ed to open his own company. Together, with Beth, they started Genesis Medical which provided expert research and testimony in the medical device field.

Ed possessed a unique sense of humor and was a very skilled woodworker. His current home is filled with the blood, sweat and tears of his many impressive projects. Ed had the patience of Job when it came time to working with wood and anything less than perfection was simply not tolerated. This attention to detail resulted in stunning displays of craftsmanship.

Besides the family mentioned above, Ed is survived by his sister Stella (John Ey) with whom he was deeply close to and loved with all his heart.

He is also survived by five grandchildren with whom he loved dearly, Alycia and Alex Reese along with Maggie, Olivia and Lucy Broback.

Ed was taken from us far too soon, but we rest assured knowing of the heavenly reunion that awaits.
