Dexter was liked by all of his Dowling High School classmates. No one had a negative word to say about him. He was a kind, caring, smart, and funny classmate. We know he was a good marine and wish his family well while he explores the next phase of being.

Dexter was an excellent role model and fine representative as a graduate of Dowling High School in Des Moines, Iowa. As a fellow classmate of his, I was always impressed by his energy level and positive enthusiastic spirit which so frequently characterized his work and efforts. We are all so proud of his unselfish spirit and service to our country. We are all so much better off for having known this fine gentleman.
God bless Dex and his whole family.

What a beautifully written piece about Dex. His passing is a terrible loss to us all. He and I had many years of friendship since knowing each other since grade school. He was a kind, loving and gentle man yet also very bright and diligent in his career. He will be missed.

Dexter was a Marine. Nuf said. He was loyal–served his country in many different ways, including in positions of responsibility with the FDIC, Resolution Trust Corporation, and HUD. I value all the time we spent together working hard, talking baseball, and discussing how proud we were of our families.
