Dale M. Pearson, of Lakeville, passed away on August, 16, 2021. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 1:00-3:30 PM with a Time of Sharing Service at 3:30 PM all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (833 S. Marschall Rd.) in Shakopee. Following the service, a reception will be held at the funeral home.
Dale Pearson was born a small-town boy at the Swedish Hospital in Minneapolis, MN and raised in Hopkins, MN. Following his graduation from Eisenhower Hopkins High School, Dale entered the work force and was a long-time employee of Coca-Cola. He later married Jean and settled down in Lakeville, MN. That is where Dale and Jean raised their two daughters, Alex and Morgan.
While Dale was a man of few words, he made an impact when he spoke. He showed his love for others and the community through his actions. He regularly donated blood with the Red Cross and never hesitated to help his friends. A generous and mechanically inclined man, Dale shared his time and talents helping friends and family. He was The Fix It Guy’s Fix It Guy.
In his free time, Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking. He grew up fishing and hunting with his dad Lloyd and loved taking his wife and daughters out on the lake. Dale always made a big show out of breakfast with his signature Swedish pancakes and eggs benedict. He made sure to fill sweet tooths as well with pumpkin pie, pumpkin bars, and Colorado peach cobbler.
Dale was definitely a lover of traditional dishes and celebrating his Swedish roots. Growing up his mom, Dorothy, made lutefisk for the holidays. While Jean and Alex greatly preferred Swedish meatballs, Dale kept the lutefisk tradition going by making lutefisk and white gravy for Morgan every New Year’s Day.
Throughout his life, Dale and his wife loved to travel. They enjoyed several cruises resulting in Dale becoming well acquainted with a camera. From fishing with his dad, to stills of lush green scenery, to underwater life while scuba diving and snorkeling. Dale loved to take pictures of adventures with his family. He had more fun taking the pictures than being in them.
His wife Jean loves to read books that rest on shelves her husband built all around their home. She will miss their “Thursday Date Night Meals” at home. A tradition that was sparked when they started their family, as a way to have a special meal in the comfort of their dining room with the girls down the hall.
Dale’s daughters will always remember him for his quick-witted “Dale Jokes,” hammering away at their science fair projects, and teaching them the lyrics to classic songs, especially The Queen of the Silver Dollar, Last Kiss, and the Beverly Hillbillies theme song.
Dale had a wonderful fondness for feeding the local finches and hummingbirds. He especially enjoyed watching hummingbirds fly by his deck as he relaxed in his favorite chair.

Get too much fizz and overflow your Coke,
That’s probably Dad telling you a joke.
When you see a yellow finch up in the sky,

It’s probably Dad just saying hi.

Dale is loved and missed by his wife, Jean Pearson; children, Alex (Joel) Robertson and Morgan Pearson; grandchildren, Graham and Landon Robertson; sister, Barb (Mike) Bleedorn; nieces and nephews, Trevor (Gina) Bleedorn, Kristin (Peter) Salenger, Nichole, Shana, Kelly, Jason, Brandon, Brittany, Danielle, and Cheyenne; many other loving relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd (Dorothy) Pearson; brother, Bob Pearson, and nephew, Ben.

Jean, Barb and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss. I am thinking of all of you as you go through this difficult journey in your life. Dale was a good guy❤️ He will be greatly missed at the Pearson get togethers .
Dale was one of the best….a truly good man. He was a beloved member of our family and we will miss him dearly. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke we all listened! My heart breaks for my sister, Jean, and their daughters Morgan, and Alex as he was a great husband and father. Jean’s devotion to Dale during his relentless illness was unstoppable as she made sure everything possible was being done for him and that he be pain free. And, Morgan was, and remains, a true blessing to both Jean and Dale. Dale was my friend….every time I buy a lottery ticket or scratch off, I will think of him. My condolences to his sister Barb and family. May this good man Rest In Peace.

I worked for Coke for 39yrs. I worked in can production for 15-20 yrs. In that time I had the honor to become friends with Dale. There was not a more dedicated and loyal employee at Coke than Dale. He was one of my favorite people to be with. He was one of everybody’s favorite people at Coke. The cans won’t run the same without Ya Buddy. :[( TO HIS FAMILY; I AM SOO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. I DON’T KNOW YOU. BUT I DO KNOW HE WAS A GREAT HUSBAND AND FATHER. TRY TO REMEMBER ALL THE GOOD MEMORIES YOU HAVE HAD WITH DALE, DAD.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Dale’s family. You are being thought of in this time of loss. I had the privilege of working with Dale at Coca Cola, the last 6 years. His wit, his little smile and his wonderful sense of humor will always be missed.
I will miss playing quarters with him (even though I never drank coffee).
You are missed Dale.
