Colleen Everett, (65), of Chaska, passed away on October 26, 2022.

A Time of Gathering will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, from 4-7pm at the Ballard Sunder Funeral Chapel in Shakopee (833 S. Marschall Rd). A Time of Sharing will take place during the gathering at 5:30pm.

Colleen was born on July 27,1957 to Lawrence and Margaret Everett. Colleen grew up with four siblings in Minneapolis before moving to Shakopee where she would spend most of her life. Colleen graduated from Shakopee High School in 1976. She built her life in Shakopee with her first husband, Kenneth Gerold and had three children.

Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family by going on many camping trips, attending the annual state fair (staying 12+ hours!), was a Girl Scout leader for her daughter, loved family game and card nights, and raised a special needs child. Colleen had the greatest sense of humor and made sure her children were cared for.

Colleen met her life partner, Edward Webber in 1999, in true 90’s fashion, online. Colleen introduced Ed to her children by stating he drove a “tractor.” Colleen and Ed moved to Bloomington where she spent several years caring for special needs adults. She loved her job at the group home where she cared for four women who became part of the family. Colleen moved back to Shakopee in 2004 and moved to Chaska for many years.

Colleen loved her children and grandchildren more than anything else. She also enjoyed many cats throughout her lifetime, along with a couple of dogs. Colleen enjoyed spending time with her family.

Colleen is survived by her life partner, Edward Webber of Chaska; son, Brandon (Sarah) Gerold of Shakopee; daughter, Melinda Gerold of Lakeville; son, Jeffrey Gerold of Savage; grandchildren, Jonas Gerold, Natalie Gerold and Teaghan Wood; brother, Chuck Everett; and sister, Evelyn (Duane) Troska; cats, Rachel and Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

Colleen is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence, and Margaret Everett; granddaughter, Peighton Wood; sister, Lynn Everett; and brother, Larry Everett.
