A resident of Lydia, Arnold H. Oldenburg, age 98, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family at his side on Thursday, June 12, 2014.

The Funeral Service will be Thursday 11:00am, June 19, with visitation from 9:30-11:00am all at Immanuel Lutheran on Fish Lake, Prior Lake, MN. The Reverend Robert Krueger will preside. Arnold will be laid to rest next to his wife Evelyn at Concord Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Oldenburg, James Oldenburg, Marty Hennen, Pastor Dean Gade, Howard Braith, and Allan Hjorth.

He was born on March 12, 1916 to parents Henry and Pauline (Mueller) Oldenburg. He was one of 12 children. He married Evelyn Schesso on November 16, 1938 at Zion United Methodist Church in Lydia.

He will deeply be missed by his children, Clarence (Betty) Oldenburg of Texas, James Oldenburg of California, Shirley (Monty) Hennen of Prior Lake; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren;

Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Oldenburg; parents, Henry and Pauline (Mueller) Oldenburg; 12 brothers and sisters.
