Arlene Munsinger, age 91, of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Fairview Ridges Hospital, in Burnsville, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be on Monday, March 16 at 11 am, with a time of gathering starting at 9 AM, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake, MN. Pastor Dave Burkum will preside, with family as urn bearers. Arlene will be laid to rest at Spring Lake Cemetery, Prior Lake, with lunch to follow at the Prior Lake V.F.W.
On May 17, 1928, in Minneapolis, MN, Arlene Mae was born to parents Arthur and Carrie (Seavey) Sandstrom. She married LeRoy Munsinger and they were blessed with three children, John, Chris, Terry.
For many years, Arlene owned and managed Damon’s Jewelry, located in the Four Season Mall. After moving to Prior Lake, she worked in the Prior Lake School Food Service. After LeRoy retired, they spent a short time in Sun City, AZ. After he passed in 1995, Arlene moved to Burnsville, where she lived out her life.
In Arlene’s free time, she enjoyed participating in the Red Hat Society and water aerobics. Arlene took great pride in taking care of the flower gardens, at the Courtyard Circle Association. She was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma and great grandma. Arlene was extremely compassionate, determined, particular and organized.
Arlene will remain in the hearts of those she loved the most sons, John (Mary) Munsinger, Terry (Diane) Munsinger; grandchildren, Matthew (Liz) Munsinger, Joe (Amy) Munsinger, Erin Munsinger, Damon Springer, Brian Springer, Desirae Munsinger, Trisha Munsinger; great grandchildren, Samantha Munsinger, Alex Munsinger, Nathan Munsinger, William Munsinger, Collin Ulstad, Paxton Wilkerson, Maggie Munsinger, Mackenzie Munsinger; sister, Margaret (Dennis) Nida; sister-in-law, Donna Sandstrom; other relatives and friends.
There to greet Arlene home in heaven is her husband, LeRoy Munsinger; daughter, Chris Springer: parents, Arthur and Carrie; brothers, Archie Sandstrom, Gerald (Ruth) Sandstrom, Daniel Sandstrom and sister, Laverne (Rocky) Rocksted.
