A resident of Prior Lake, MN, Anne Marie O’Brien was 75 years old, when she passed away unexpectedly the afternoon of Friday, July 1, 2016. She was born on November 3, 1940 to parents Leo and Mary (Thompson) McMorrow in Minneapolis, MN. Anne spent most of her career guiding the youth as a school psychologist.
The family will greet guests on Thursday, July 7 from 4-6 pm, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake. There will also be a visitation one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 8 at 11 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside. Anne’s pall bearers will be her sons, Cory, Sean and Casy and grandchildren, Alexander, Peter and Connor. Memorials are preferred as will be distributed in Anne’s memory by the family.
Left to honor Anne’s life and mourn the death are her beloved sons, Cory (Lisa) O’Brien, Sean (Beth) O’Brien, Casy (Erin) O’Brien; grandchildren, Alexander O’Brien, Peter O’Brien, Meghan O’Brien, Connor O’Brien; great-grandson, Cormac O’Brien; sister, Theresa (Richard) McCarthy; brother, Patrick McMorrow; other loving relatives and devoted friends
Anne will be welcomed home in heaven by her parents, Leo and Mary and brother, Michael McMorrow.

I was sorry to hear about Anne’s passing. She and Michael, as our first cousins, were Judy and my first friends in the 40’s and we had many enjoyable times at the Fort Snelling home. Many happy memories.

Cory, my thoughts are with you. I’ve lost both my parents, and it never gets easier, and you never forget, but eventually the great memories and love you have, take over the pain and sorrow.
I am so sad to hear of Anne’s death. We had many good times together when we were children and through college days. We were first cousins and almost the same age. She was fun to be with and was so kind to me.
She is now with her Mom and Michael, her brother in heaven.
To the family; I am so sorry for you loss. Anne was a wonderful woman. I enjoyed working with her at Southview. Her work on Restitution for elementary age students was extraordinary. She was a special lady and made a great impact on my life.
I’m Mike O’Brien, Annes Husband of over 30 years. Forgotten father of her children. I took care of her, here at home for over 15 years, with no help from her children. Her sweet children took all of her assets left to care for her for the rest of her life. Read her Obit. No mention of me. Pray for them.
