Alice Mae was born on July 6, 1931 to Paul and Mildred (Theis) Klingberg in Prior Lake, Minnesota. She grew up with her brothers Don and Paul Jr. in Prior Lake where she continued to live her entire life. She graduated from Shakopee High School and on August 28, 1951 she married Wilmar (Vim) Mueller at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. Vim and Alice were blessed with two children, Steve and Roxanne, along with four granddaughters and seven great grandchildren. Alice enjoyed being a housewife and caregiver to her family. She loved volunteering and devoted many hours helping out at Prior Manor, the local food shelf, and with Thrivent.

Vim and Alice enjoyed above all else being with their family. They were avid polka dancers and loved the outdoors. On weekends Alice and Vim enjoyed helping with their daughter and son-in-law’s auction business where they collected numerous antiques and made many friends. No matter where she went, Alice was loved by all and always had a smile on her face. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. You could always count on her and she had a way of putting others before herself. She had a great sense of humor and a way with words. When giving advice she would often be heard saying, “Now listen Toots, or Now Child…”. She embraced the title of “Grannie” and was a “Grannie” to all she met.

Alice loved her church dearly and was a faithful servant of the Lord. She belonged to LWML at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. For many years she helped with the funeral luncheons at St. Paul’s. Alice’s strong faith in the Lord was of immense comfort to her. She wrote, “The day the Lord calls me home, I will be ready. I will be with the Lord. Don’t cry. You know I am happy in Heaven. Until the very end Alice told everyone, “Bless you” so the Lord would watch over them. She was the person you contacted if you needed prayers said.

Alice is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 72 years, Wilmar “Vim” Mueller; children, Steve Mueller and Roxanne (Larry) Valek; grandchildren, Ann (Dylan) Stenson, Amy (Mike) Zasoski, Vicki (Lou) Hernandez, Robin (Bryan) Pikal; great grandchildren, Adi, Cohlby, Jace, Johanna, Lauren, Gavin, Hudson; and many other loving relatives and friends.

She will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Paul and Mildred Klingberg; brother, Don Klingberg; and daughter-in-law, Susan Mueller.
