William J. “Bill” Ramsey, age 90, of Lakeville, MN passed away peacefully at his residence at Kingsley Shores Senior Living Center in Lakeville, MN on July 26, 2021. A private family celebration of life will be held in August. Memorials are preferred and will be donated to Minnesota Hospice Foundation, Lakeville, MN, or the donor’s choice.

Bill was born August 9, 1930 in Chicago, IL and moved with his family to Minneapolis in the early 1940’s where he spent most of his working life. Bill was a Veteran of the Korean War and began work in the institutional food business after his honorable discharge. He spent his career in that business and formed his own business, R & W Food Service in the Twin Cities growing and developing the business until retiring in 1994. Upon retirement, Bill and his wife Karen (the love of his life) moved from Minnesota to Gold Canyon, AZ where they enjoyed their retirement years. Bill was a passionate and avid golfer and once shot his age. He and Karen were active members of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church and enjoyed years of traveling and being with friends and family.

Bill is survived by his and Karen’s children, David Ramsey (Kim); Karen Clough (Don); Susan Hausmann (Randy); Dana Oman (Dave); Jim Helseth (Kay), and John Helseth (Gina) as well as 9 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen; sister, Virginia; and brothers, Richard and Max.
