Virginia “Jean” Burgess

Virginia “Jean” Marie (Dols) Burgess died peacefully at home surrounded by family the afternoon of September 16, 2013, at age 87. Jean will always be remembered by her loving husband, Larry Burgess of Shakopee; children, Carol (Steve) Hanson of Farmington, Mary Jo Burke of Shakopee, Kathy (Jim) Gilliland of Shakopee, Ron (Tami) Burgess of Marystown, James (Deb) Burgess of New Prague; Daughter-in-law, Judy Burgess of Lakeville; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other loving relatives and friends.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Susan (Busch) Dols; son, Bob Burgess; son-in-law, Jim Burke; sisters, Dee Dee, Vangie, Dorothy; brother, Gil.

A private family visitation and luncheon is Friday, September 20, 2013 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee, MN 55379.

The Burgess family is served with honor, care and compassion by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Shakopee Chapel.
