Valerie “Val” O’Connor, age 65, of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at Fairview Ridges Hospital, Burnsville, MN.
A Celebration of Life honoring Val will be on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with a time of gathering one-hour prior at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 9600 163rd Street West, Lakeville, MN. Pastor Erik Poch will preside. Memorials are preferred by the family.
On January 11, 1954, in Long Beach, CA, Valerie Anne was born the second of two daughters to parents, Frank and Laurie (Ladd) Eldridge. She enlisted into the United States Navy, where she proudly served before being discharged. Val married William Max O’Connor in Memphis, TN on August 15, 1980. They were blessed with two children, Jennifer and William. Val enjoying being active in their lives.
Val enjoyed cooking, was a talented seamstress and dedicated to her faith. Her home was always open to anyone that entered the door, even foreign exchange students.
Forever loved and missed by husband, Bill; daughter, Jen (Jeremy) Goodlander and their children, Scarlett and Jordan; son, William O’Connor and his children, Madison, William, Bentley, Finn; sister, Denise (Greg) Stynsberg & their daughters; other relatives and friends
Val is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Laurie Eldridge.

I am at a loss for words Valerie always had my back no matter what,I am grateful she was in my life. The world was a better place with her in it she will be missed.
I love will miss you every day of my life. You touched many lives and did it without concern your own wellbeing. I miss our phone calls where we said we loved each other before bed. I miss you and always will. I love you!

I have deep sadness of missing your joy and conviction in your Love for our Lord. I will miss our friendship.

Valerie and I grew up together through high school at Grace Baptist church In Riverside, CA. She was a true friend. I am thankful that she is now pain free and now in her perfect body rejoicing in heaven, where we will meet again someday.
