On Saturday evening, March 14, 2015 at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, Thomas Edward Muer, age 51, passed away unexpectedly due to complications of a head injury at his Shakopee home. Tom’s life will be honored and celebrated on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 pm, with a time of gathering starting at 12 (noon), all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee, MN. Deacon Dick Roy will preside.
On the historic day of November 22, 1963, President Kennedy was shot and Tom was born to parents, John Albert and Aileen Ann (Ayd) Muer in Minneapolis, MN. Born the youngest of five children, he grew up in Shakopee, where Tom enjoyed squirrel hunting with his friends. He was a 1982 Shakopee High School graduate. Most of Tom’s career was spent working in the concrete industry laying brick and block.
Tom lived a simple life. A love for his automobiles, Tom spent countless hours washing and waxing his pride Ferrio and Ford pickups. He loved relaxing and listening to music. Tom’s greatest enjoyment was fishing for Northern Pike and ice fishing on Lake Minnetonka. A well groomed man, he never had a hair out of place.
Left to honor Tom’s life and mourn the death is his son, Brandon (Kelly) Muer; grandchildren, Bentley, Sophia, Kyra; mother, Aileen Muer; brothers, John (Carol) Muer, Mike (Lora) Muer, William Muer, Mathew (Lisa) Muer; Tom’s friend, Jody Swenson; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death and there to welcome Tom home is his father, John Muer.

Print Obituary & CondolencesI knew Tom in High School and he was a friend of mine. He was also a roommate of mine and we lost touch with each other over the years. Tom was very kind and I can always remember the times we spent in his basement listening to music. I will miss Tom and my hearts and prayers go out to his family.
