I knew Bob from church, where I heard his heart at prayer meeting– how much he loved God. My condolences on your loss, and my encouragement to you that Bob has found healing and satisfaction with the God he trusted– or at least trusted much of the time, as much as any of us can. God’s grace, peace, and comfort to those of you who were close to him.

One of my favorite memories with Bob was listening to records together. Bob usually came with a stack of 10-12 of his favorites that I “just had to listen to”. We would talk about music, our pets and life. Sad to see Bob gone, but he’s in a better place!

Like some of you, I’m still grieving. Bob and I spent a lot of time together over the past 4 years. Through ups and downs, great days, terrible days, even though he had more strikes against him than any of us can imagine, Bob always found a way to bounce back and smile, laugh and be a friend. Toward the end I just couldn’t be there for him and for that I am deeply sorry. He didn’t bounce back this time.
I’ll be okay. But for now I’m still grieving. He might be in a better place, but my world isn’t a better place without him. My deepest sympathies go to you his family and dear friends.
