Condolence from Doug Lemm on November 21st, 2016 7:33 pm

My sincere condolences to the entire Weidner family for the loss of a fine man.
Hearing of his untimely passing like this was not the way I had hoped to learn where the many forks in life’s road had taken him. Hearing all about that first hand, like at our upcoming 50th reunion would have been much more preferred.
May God Bless and Console You All.
Doug Lemm

Condolence from Dawn Urban on November 21st, 2016 7:42 pm

I was saddened to hear about Rick last week. He was a steady man and things like this weren’t supposed to happen to Rick. I had the honor of working with Rick at R&W Food Service Sales. He was a great boss and friend. He didn’t expect any of his employees to do anything he wouldn’t do himself. If the freezer needed to be cleaned, he was the first one in there outfitted in jeans and a warm jacket. We were a family and he made several efforts after he sold the Company to keep connected with those that remained. My thoughts and prayers are with Jeanette and family. Rick was one of the good guys in the business. He will be missed.

I will always remember and be grateful for Rick and Jeanette’s thoughtful kindnesses when I was in Shakopee last fall. Even though we had just met, they treated me as if we were old friends. I am so sad that I won’t get to spend any more time with Rick. But I’m hopeful that I’ll learn more about him through his wife and sister. I, so sorry for his family’s loss.

We’re still in shock about the sudden death of Rick and we’re so sorry to hear about the sudden loss. Our deepest sympathy & condolences to Jeannette & family. Rick has been fishing with my husband Dan, Rick’s close friend Stu Bernard and Dave Sanders for the past few years at Lac Seul Canada. My husband enjoyed his company and Rick was a true fisherman. One time he brought his big frying pan and everyone was amazed how delicious all the fish turned out. We’ll include Rick, Jeanette and his family in our prayers. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.
