Peggy O. Kriese, age 86, of Alexandria, MN, formerly of Bloomington, MN, passed peacefully on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Stanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 24, at 1PM with a visitation from 11AM-12:45PM, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation, 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee. Pastor Diana Hunstad will preside. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Duane Jr, Nick, Kristine, Dylan, Rachel, and Joey. Peggy will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
On December 17, 1934, in Spring Valley, MN, Peggy was born to Harold and Evelyn (Deyo) Swenson. She married Harold Kriese on March 8, 1958, in Svea, MN. They were blessed with two sons, Duane and Doug.
Forever loved, Peggy is survived by son, Duane Sr. (Colleen) Kriese and their children, Duane Jr. (Amy) Kriese and son, Jax; Nick (C.J.) Kriese; Kristine (Joey) Kriese and daughter, Olivia; son, Doug (Mary) Kriese and their children, Dylan (Rachel) Kriese, Rachel Kriese; daughter, Gloria Kriese-East and son, Jason East and his children, Trista and Tylor; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Greeting Peggy home in Heaven is her husband, Harold; special friend, Charlie Christopherson; parents, Harold and Evelyn and brother, Ronald (Judy) Swenson.

Such a warm, fun, young at heart friend she was. So many fun sweet memories. I always think of back when Her and Harold had the resort. My kids loved to visit Peggy and buy candy at the resort store. Peggy and I shared so much experiences, the most tragic experience of losing our husbands in the same accident. We were there to help each other and share the pain of that horrible loss. A fun memory I will always hold dear is Peggy pedaling a pedal boat to my cabin with a baked pizza to share from the resort. Such a unique pizza delivery system. Many have lost a dear friend. She was always surrounded and loved people. She will be dearly missed. My sympathy to all of Peggys family. Denise Durben
I just met Peggy 2 summers ago. I am a long time friend of Charlie but ironically my parents also owned Betsy Ross Resort in 1972. She was so friendly and welcomed me into her home last summer. We talked occasionally on the phone and I hoped to see her again this summer. Sending my condolences to her family and dear friends. She will be missed by many.

I met Peggy as we both worked for the same food service company.. I haven’t spoke to Peggy in over a year and as I tried calling both her and Charlie today is when I found out both have passed. As Peggy’s manager she gave me a reason to come to work each day as she was so great to be around. I kept in touch over the years with both her and Charlie. As I said I only spoke with her about once a year but will still miss her voice and remember the memories of working alongside her.

To the family and friends of Peggy, what a blessing it has been to have her in our neighborhood. We remember a trip to Greenwald to celebrate a birthday and most of our neighborhood showed up. She was always fun to talk with.
