WEB Pat Lindsay

Pat Lindsay, age 74, entered eternal peace on Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14, 2019, with her family gathered beside her. Pat has been a lifelong resident of Shakopee, MN.

A time of gathering will be on Monday, February 18 from 4-7 pm and Tuesday, February 19 from 9:30-10:30 am, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral and Cremation 833 South Marschall Road, Shakopee. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am, at the Church of St Mary’s (The Parish of Saints Joachim and Anne) 535 Lewis Street, Shakopee. Pat will be laid to rest at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery.

Pat was born on January 2, 1945, to parents Arthur and Mary (Cavanaugh) Du Bois. She married David Lindsay on December 26, 1964, at the Church of St. Mary’s. They were blessed with three children, Kim. Jim and Julie. Pat first focused her career being a wife and mother. After the children were older, she worked for Rosemount Engineering for 23 years.

The greatest passion in Pat’s life was family. She was the ultimate caregiver, especially to her parents, aunts, extended family and even friends. Pat had the patience of a saint. She had a great sense of humor and loved watching the comedy of the Golden Girls and Everybody Loves Raymond. Pat was faithful and was an active adorer in the Perpetual Adoration for 9 years. It was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that brought Pat the greatest joy in life.

Forever loved, Pat will be sadly missed by husband, Dave; children, Kim (Keith) Weckman, Julie (Darren) Schlueter, Jim Lindsay; granddaughters, Lindsay (Blake) Foster, Megan Weckman, Amanda Lindsay, Mackenzie (Fiancé Jeremy Reed) Schlueter, Samantha Schlueter; great-grandchildren, Garin Foster, Warren Foster; brothers, John (Jane) Du Bois, Al (Lorrie) Du Bois; Jelly Bean (the Dog); Two Face (the cat); other relatives and friends.

There to greet Pat home are her parents, Art and Mary and great-niece, Rebecca Du Bois.

Condolences for the family of “Patricia Lindsay”

Condolence from Lilli and Charlie Abeln on February 15th, 2019 12:22 pm

So sorry for your loss of a wonderful woman. We have great memories of double dating many years ago. Pat and I spent many late hours just shooting the breeze even after she had finished cutting and coloring my hair. We laughed with the memories of daytimes, when I had our toddler, John, along, she’d put on her shoes because he’d always be stepping on her feet! I sure do miss the old days and you, Pat!

Condolence from Bruce R. on February 16th, 2019 8:31 am

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends. May you find some comfort in the promise found in Revelation 21: 3-4 and 1 Thessalonians 4:14. Knowing that there is an opportunity to be reunited with loved ones.

Condolence from Jane Kelzer DuBois on February 16th, 2019 11:13 am

Because I cannot do my Eulogy as I had hoped because of a triple arm fracture end of Jan. after a complete shoulder replacement in Oct. (Surgeon says stay put) I will say some things now.
Patty was the best, most caring and compassionate sister-in-law anyone could ever have. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary. Would always bring me a teeny chocolate cake on my birthday because she knew what a chocoholic l was. She was the best. I will miss you Patty. I will see you again in heaven. RIP

Even though I only came home every five years, I was welcomed with such open arms. Patti made sure all the children stopped in to visit with me. We always had our five year meal with John, Jane, Al and Laurie. Such a wonderful family all thanks to Patti’s loving ways. You bet I will miss her. Love to her whole family.

Condolence from Debra Cater on February 16th, 2019 2:55 pm

Deb Cater : Unfortunately after I moved away from Shakopee, I never went back. When I left, Uncle Art asked all the cousins to help me move. Everyone of them showed up. Thanks to this good, close family. Patti and Dave visited with me and my children when they came out to AZ. Yes Patti was loved and will be missed by all.

Dear John, Jane, and family,
The loss of a sibling is one of life’s most difficult situations to endure. Please know that I am sharing in your sadness as you remember Patricia. There simply are no magically words to lift the heavy weight of a grieving heart. Know that I am just a phone call away should you need someone to listen.
Holding you close in my thoughts and hoping your faith brings you comfort.
Prayers and my love for you are flowing towards you.
With deepest sympathy,
Jan Lill
