Todd Steven Bistodeau

With heavy hearts, we share that Todd Bistodeau, beloved father to Timmy and Steve Bistodeau, passed away peacefully on October 22 at 11:50 PM at the age of 67. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel (3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis, MN) beginning at 10am. There will be a Time of Gathering prior from 9-10am at the chapel. Following the service, Todd will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Todd was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he attended West High School. After his schooling, he proudly served for four years in the United States Marine Corps as an Aircraft Fuel Specialist and was stationed in Hawaii. Following his military service, Todd spent over two decades as a dedicated truck driver for Kokem, where his work ethic and good spirit were admired by all who knew him.

Todd had an incredible gift for bringing people together. He loved to host gatherings and cook for friends, family, and neighbors — always making sure everyone felt welcome and full. His laughter and kindness filled every room he entered.

Those who knew Todd will remember his unwavering optimism. No matter the situation, he often said, “There’s always someone out there who has it ten times worse — feel lucky you’re not that person.” Even through six courageous years of battling cancer, he lived by that belief, facing every challenge with strength, humor, and grace.

We were truly blessed to have him in our lives. His positivity, generosity, and love will remain with us forever.

Todd is survived by his children, Steven Bistodeau and Timmy Bistodeau; siblings Gerald "Cricket" (Carol) Larson, Gary (Sandy) Larson; nieces Felicia, Nicole, Stacy, Stephanie & Richelle; nephew, Chad; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Bistodeau; siblings, Leila Johnson and Ricky Bistodeau; parents Ralph & Mardell Bistodeau.
