Thomas "Tom" William Griffin, age 69, of Faribault, Minnesota, formerly of Lakeville, was welcomed home to Heaven on May 27, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of his family.

A Celebration of Tom’s Life will take place on Friday, June 6, 2026, at ZOE Church, 14300 W. Burnsville Parkway, Burnsville, MN. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Please check back for live-streaming information. Burial will take place at Evergreen Point Cemetery in Burnsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and will be distributed in Tom’s memory by his family.

Tom was born on September 11, 1956, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to Merrol and Louise (Wilkerson) Griffin. He was the youngest of five siblings and the baby boy of the family. His family eventually settled in Baraboo, Wisconsin, where he met the love of his life, Becky. They married on May 19, 1979, and together built a life centered on love, family, hard work, and faithfulness.

Tom studied mechanical engineering in Madison, Wisconsin, beginning a lifelong passion for understanding how things worked and fixing whatever needed fixing. Tom spent his career with Cincinnati Milacron as a field service engineer, using his gift for problem-solving to repair and service complex plastic injection molding machines, robotics, and automation systems. Through his work, he traveled around the world, including to Singapore and Australia, sharing his knowledge and helping others learn.

Tom was a devoted husband, father, and Grampi. He and Becky raised their daughters, Michelle and Jenny, in Lakeville. He taught his girls the value of hard work, determination, problem solving, and never giving up. He didn’t just teach people how to do something; he taught them how to figure things out.

Tom loved a good hobby and always went all in. One of his greatest joys was his red 1966 Chevy Nova, which he restored and proudly took to car shows, often with Jenny by his side. He was also a loyal Minnesota Vikings fan and could rarely be found without a Vikings logo somewhere nearby.

Above all else, Tom loved his family fiercely. He treasured time spent traveling, enjoying days at the camper, attending his grandchildren’s activities, and simply being together. His grandchildren — Tierney, Keegan, Breccan, and Delaney — adored their Grampi, and his wisdom, humor, advice, and steady presence will stay with them always.

Tom will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, humor, generosity, patience, and heart for helping others. He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, curiosity, and perseverance.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Becky; daughter Jen Maloney and son-in-law Mike Maloney; and his cherished grandchildren, Tierney, Keegan, Breccan, and Delaney, who brought endless joy to his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Michelle, who forever remained one of the greatest joys of his life; and his parents, Merrol and Louise Griffin.

Can’t wait to see you and Michelle at the pearly gates.
SKOL forever, Griff.
