Stuart "Stu" H. Walker

Stuart "Stu" H. Walker, age 88, of Bloomington, MN, went home to be with his Lord on August 7, 2026. A Time of Gathering will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant St SE, Prior Lake, MN). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM with additional Gathering from 9:00 - 9:45 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at St. Michael Catholic Church (16400 Duluth Ave SE, Prior Lake, MN). Fr. Tim Rudolphi will preside. Stu will be laid to rest at later date at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Prior Lake. Mass will be livestreamed through: St. Mike's Youtube.

Stu was born on April 1st 1938, to Arthur E. Walker, MD and Esther Mary Walker of St. Paul, MN.

Walker graduated from St. Thomas Military Academy in 1956. He served in the Army and Army Reserves from 1956 to 1963. He graduated from The University of St. Thomas in 1962 with a degree in Psychology/Sociology. He would often tell people, “That means I am a little crazy, but I love people.”

Walker received his Charted Life Underwriter designation (CLU) in 1969 and Chartered Financial Consultant designation in (ChFC) 1983. He served as a Financial Consultant to Clients for 55 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis; first wife, Jo Ann; son, Thomas; and his daughter, Laura.

Stu loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Cathy, his two remaining children, Michael Walker, MD of Minnesota, and Timothy Walker, of California, and three grandchildren; Josh Walker, Kayla Walker, and Nicole Walker.

Walker served his Church, St. Michael Catholic Community of Prior Lake, and his “Family Community; The Twin-Cities Cursillo Community."
