Sonny "Joe" Crotsley

Sonny “Joe” Crotsley died unexpectedly on January 28, 2026 at St, Francis Hospital in Shakopee, MN. 

He was born in Three Springs, PA on January 26, 1941, grew up in Saltillo, PA and graduated in 1958 from Saltillo High. While in high school Joe played the trumpet, loved singing in the choir, and played basketball, football and baseball. After graduation he worked at the MT. Union Bank of PA while at the same time serving for eight years in the Army National Guard. He married his high school sweetheart, moved to Altoona, PA and had three daughters. Joe purchased the Park Furniture business from his aunt, and his accomplishments in the business earned him several trips around the world. After selling his business, he worked with the Boscov's Department stores as the Furniture Manager. Upon retiring he settled in Georgetown, DE and worked for the local golf course where he met his soulmate and companion, Patti* and eventually moved to be with her in Prior Lake MN.

Joe was survived by his significant other Patti; his daughters Crystal Sunday, Sherry (Rob) Hagerty, and Angela Crowley; his nephew Dan (Donna) Lane; and niece Cindy (Ed) Tucker; along with 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Monroe Crotsley and mother Sarah (née Park) Crotsley; sisters Freda Toews, Mary Crotsley, Wanda Lane; and brother Tedd Crotsley.

Cremation by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home in Prior Lake MN with interment in Saltillo, PA.
