Sharon Ege

Sharon Margo Ege, age 82, of Shakopee, MN was called to the Lord on Thursday, August 13, 2026.

Please join us for her Celebration of Life on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. with Reflections and Memories at 3:30 p.m. at the Shakopee VFW (1201 3rd Ave E, Shakopee, MN 55379) where we know Sharon would want us to come together, tell stories, laugh, shed a few tears and enjoy each other's company. Sharon will be laid to rest at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Sharon Margo Christ was born to Sydney and Ruth (Ziebarth) Christ on November 23rd, 1943 in Princeton, MN. First living in Blue Hill with her Grandma and Grandpa Carl and Nora Christ. At the age of three, they moved to Princeton Minnesota where she grew up on the family farm and attended school. Sharon then went on to marry the love of her life LeRoy Ege on March 18,1961. They then moved to Shakopee where they started their family and raised their two boys, Terry and DuWayne.

Sharon devoted her life to LeRoy, and their 65 years of marriage stands as a testament to their partnership. They were inseparable, always by each other's side, collaborating on every decision and planning their days together. Her devotion will live on in the memories they created and love they shared.

Sharon stayed home with her boys until they started school, she then started working at Montgomery Wards, Juba's Super Value, and ending her career in retiring from SM Henges & Son's. She then went on to care for her mother Ruth though her final years.

In her spare time Sharon enjoyed stitching dish towels, playing cards, listening to music, summers at the cabin, listening to the sound of the loons, winters in Mexico and Arizona, watching her favorite westerns, cooking, organizing and spending time with her grand dogs.Whether enjoying a peaceful afternoon outdoors or a lively gathering with her family and friends she embraced each moment with gratitude and warmth. No matter the activity, it was the people around her mattered the most.

Above all else Sharon loved her family, Husband, Sons, Daughter In-Law's and adored her six grandkids and 10 great-grandkids. She loved celebrating their accomplishments, comforting them through challenges, and creating a lifetime of memories they will carry forever. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength and unconditional love that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

Though she will be greatly missed, Sharon's Spirit lives on in every fishing trip, campfire, hummingbird that visits a feeder, hand stitched dish towels, birthday card sent with love, and bowl of graham crackers and milk.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, LeRoy; children, Terry (Marlene) Ege, DuWayne (JoAnne) Ege; 6 grandkids, Katie (Josh) Kreuser, Allan (Jenna) Ege, Jake (Kristen) Ege, Kristina (John) Kleingarn, Annah (Zach Welna) Ege, Allex Ege; 10 Great Grandchildren, Haylie, Hannah, Griffin, Everett, Eden, Paisley, Kip, Arlo, Carter and Quinn.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sydney and Ruth Christ; LeRoy's parents, Jens and Betsy Ege; brother-in-law, Marlin Ege; niece, Pam; family members and friends.
