Ronald Albert was born on June 12, 1942, on the family farm in Union Hill, MN. He was the fourth of six children to John and Cecelia (Boll) Michel. Ron married Rose on November 30, 1963, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague, MN.
Ron has been a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Working for various jobs outside the farm throughout his life, Ron dedicated his life to farming. He loved nurturing and raising cattle, pigs, corn, and beans. Ron has also been a wonderful gardener, fisherman and mechanic. He once worked on a tractor and when he finally got it running, he was so happy. Ron was always working on his farm equipment or doing maintenance on something.
He took pride in planting trees, caring for his cats and the earth. Ron enjoyed splitting firewood and heating his home with this wood burning stove. He loved getting together with family on the holidays and playing cards.
Ron was always a very generous man and kind person. He loved a good joke and laughing! Ron always said,” Don’t break the law, because you will get caught!” From him, we learned to work hard and save for what you wanted in life. Ron taught us the value of a dollar, life lessons, and the importance of family and friends. He enjoyed life and it was a true gift to be around.
Farewell, our friend and thank you for the wonderful memories. Ron is forever loved by his wife of 62 years, Rose; son, Ron J. (JoAnne) Michel; daughter, Sheila (Kevin) Sweeney; grandson, Josh (Jenna) Michel; brother, Gerald (Jane) Michel; sister, Jean Hayden; other relatives and friends.
Ron is greeted in Heaven by his parents; brother, Bob (Dorothy) Michel; sisters, Toody (Walter) Witt, Toddy (Leo) Savage and brother-in-law, Richard Hayden.
