Ronald G. Feldman

Ronald G. Feldman passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026.

A Celebration of Ron’s Life will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 4565 Pleasant St. SE, Prior Lake. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Ave SE, Prior Lake, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Fr. Tom Walker will preside. Mass will be livestreamed. Ron will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Ronald Gary Feldman was born on January 14, 1938, in Minneapolis to Harold and Emily Feldman. Ron was raised in a Catholic household as an only child in Minneapolis.

At the age of 18, he married Peggy McLaird on April 28, 1956, at St. Helena’s Catholic Church in Minneapolis. They eventually raised their six children, Tyann, Dean, Lynann, Shannon, Brian, and Suzann in Richfield. Together, he and Peggy coached their children’s sports. Ron was a good family man.

Ron was also a proud veteran dedicating 8 years in the Army Reserves. He followed in his father’s footsteps working his entire 40-year career at Cargill, beginning as a foreman and working his way up to a grain inspector. Once he retired from Cargill in 1999, he worked for the U.S. Post Office.

Following Peggy’s death in 2006, Ron reconnected with a high-school friend, Sharon and they shared many wonderful years together.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; daughter, Tyann Kinney; son, Dean Feldman; and son-in-law Michael Rothmeyer.

Ron will be forever missed by his children, Lynann Rothmeyer, Shannon Feldman, Brian (Lisa) Feldman, and Suzann (Tim) Johnson; his significant other, Sharon Harvey; daughter-in-law, Vicki Feldman; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
