Passed away February 25, 2026.

Bob will be laid to rest with Military Honors on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 3pm at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will take place, 12 Noon on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at American Legion Post 255, 708 Front Street, Brainerd, MN 56401.

Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley Voels; his daughter, Heidi Voels (David Holzer); grandchildren, James (Leslie) Voels, Christopher Dibble, Laura Dibble; his sisters, Joan (David) Lundberg, and Joyce (Clifford) Young; stepchildren, Debbie (Greg) Struthers, Brenda Crist, Paul Kretzmann, and Fred Kretzmann (Ray Swenson); and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Bob is preceded in death by his son, Robert James Voels, Jr. 1967- 2018; his parents, Clarence Christian Voels 1894-1996 and Mabel Irene Voels (née Anderson) 1910-1999; siblings, Carl Voels 1929-1987, Clarence Voels 1931-2010, Stephen Voels 1933-1979, Mabel Marie Voels 1936-1937, Joe Voels 1938-1983, Conrad Voels 1940-2014, John Voels 1942-2005, and Albert Voels 1947-2017.
