It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Daniel Mohlin, age 85, who passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on May 3, 2026. He was born on November 26, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Paul and Dorothy Mohlin, making them first-time parents.
Paul lived a full life marked by military service in the Air Force, hard work, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, sports, and animals. He spent many years working in construction, a career he truly loved. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, craftsmanship, and willingness to help others, whether on professional sites or projects for friends and family.
Outside of work, Paul found joy in hunting and fishing. He treasured the time he spent outdoors. He was a passionate sports fan who loved attending games and watching them on television. His favorite teams included the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and the former Minnesota Kicks.
Paul had a special love for animals, especially cats and dogs, and was rarely without a beloved furry companion by his side. His compassion for animals was evident especially in his later years, and his most recent pets have been placed in loving homes where they continue to be cherished.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Joyce Mohlin; his son, Paul Edward Mohlin; and his grandson, Cody Mohlin. He is also survived by his honorary daughter, Lori Radziszewski (Geoff), and honorary grandson, Reese Radziszewski. In addition, Paul leaves behind his nieces, Cordie Cronen, Melissa Melius, Svea Steinert (Christian), Jessica Stiller (Jeremy), and Shiloha Herbek (Adam); one nephew, Joey Mohlin; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. He also maintained many lifelong friendships that remained an important part of his life over several decades.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Henning Mohlin and Dorothy Marie (Whelan) Mohlin; his sisters, Barbara Mohlin Melius and Tina Mohlin; and his brothers, Patrick Mohlin and Sven Mohlin, along with many cousins and dear friends.
Paul will be remembered for his hardworking nature, love of the outdoors and sports, and kindness toward animals. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
