Paul "June" Klingberg

Paul E. Klingberg, age 90, of Prior Lake, MN, entered eternal life on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11 am, with a time of gathering from 10-11 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside. Paul will be laid to rest at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

Paul, known to many as June, was born on February 4, 1935, to Paul and Mildred (Theis) Klingberg. Despite facing a minor disability, June demonstrated determination and achieved his goals. Alongside his brother Don, they operated a milk hauling business, a moving company, and pursued various other ventures before ultimately joining the Minnesota Highway Department. June committed over three decades of dedicated service to the department, where he established lifelong friendships.

June led a modest yet fulfilling life, continually supported by his siblings Alice and Don, whom he held in great affection. He resided with and cared for his mother until her passing. June took pride in maintaining his garage, often organizing tools and taking care of his truck. His interests included polka music, All Star Wrestling, fishing, and socializing during visits to Joe’s Pizza.

In 2009, June was diagnosed with dementia, after which he became a resident at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in Shakopee, MN, spending several years there before transitioning to Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN, where he spent his final years.

June will always be remembered for his loyalty, his big appetite, especially for cookies and having a strong work ethic. He is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Klingberg; nephew, Steve Mueller; nieces, Roxanne (Larry) Valek, Nancy (Don Hoover) Sheehan, Lori (Dan) Haugh; many great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Greeting June home in Heaven are his parents, Paul and Mildred Klingberg; brother, Don Klingberg; sister, Alice (Vim) Mueller; nephews, Jay Klingberg and Bryce Sheehan.
